In his book ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’, Dale Carnegie wrote, “Do not forget that an individual’s name is to that particular person, the sweetest and most crucial sound in any language.” Being in the middle of our own world,we do prefer when folks, things, and events revolve around us.
Split-Second Attention
As a network marketer, you only have about ten seconds to snatch somebody’s attention with the header of your electronic mail, weblog strap line, newspaper ad, or other written words, particularly if the topic matter is lengthy. If you run a Television or radio announcement, you could have one or two seconds longer before they flip the channel. In a face to face meeting, you will have as long as 30 seconds! This is an interesting fact: were you aware that on average , an interviewer decides whether to hire someone in the first 3 minutes of an interview? They spend the rest of the time gathering information to support their own decision, for good or bad. Imagine that – 3 minutes assessing the destiny of another individual’s career – three minutes to figure out if this person will add worth to a company or not. If skilled interviewers make those sorts of decisions within 3 minutes, consider what sort of attention your prospects are paying to you and your promotion!
What’s the Solution?
First off make sure you are advertising your internet business to the right people, a concentrated and pre-qualified audience. If you’re, your prospects will be more receptive to your message because they are “warmed up” and your product, service or message may be the only answer to their problem or need that they’ve been looking for. Second, don’t waste people’s time ; ensure you have something helpful or informative to point out. Don’t attempt to get their attention, except when you have something applicable to offer that may satisfy their wants. There are far too many mails, websites, blogs, and articles simply turned out using incomprehensible and uninformative words, in a vain attempt to boost site visitors and warp advertising costs.
At the end of Feb 2011, many net users were happy when Google arranged its routines to expel a number of these masses of rubbish, and many iffy net marketers shot themselves. Thirdly, focus on the consumer, his wishes and his Problems, and give him what he would like. Many home-based businesses and budding entrepreneurs are unable to grasp the concept that marketing should focus on the buyer, not on the product, not on the owner, not on the company but the client. Only much later during the sales process will the company and the product become factors. Concentrate on your potential shopper and make him feel just like his satisfaction is the most important thing in your life, even if it is just for a few minutes. Lastly, the saying “promote the sizzle, not the steak,” applies to all sides of sales. You aren’t selling your possible client an auto ; you’re selling the hi-tech engine, the safety features, and the comfort and all the added toys and advantages of owning that vehicle. It’s the same process with any product, be it a widget or a washer. You only have one or two seconds to grab your prospect’s attention, so use those few seconds cleverly.
