So why is it that there are so many failure stories around and silly statistics like a retention rate of 15%?
I have had the opportunity over the last few months to speak with many folks in network marketing and the ones that have not succeeded have all said they consider their failure is down to lack of training and support from their upline. Most say that they simply didn’t get any significant training other than ‘go and talk to your friends and family’ or ‘just talk to as many people as you can about the business’
In today’s market these methods don’t really work, we are swamped out with the lastest money making schemes and there is always someone around the corner trying to sell us something, so as a society we have learned to turn a blind eye to the spammers that frequent our personal space. New networkers quickly discover that the traditional sponsoring methods are not effective in building a great team of individuals in our business. This I found out for myself when I was just getting started in MLM.
What really made a difference for me was taking my business online and combining offline and online efforts, using both together really made a big difference to my business. The biggie for me was learning the principles of attraction marketing as taught by the great guru Mike Dillard. These are all methods that will get the word out about you and what you can offer.
By providing value and training to your prospects I can guarantee that you will attract more people to you than if you just market a replicated company website. Everyone has seen one of those before and they just don’t cut it, lots and lots of people are already blasting the net with these sort of websites promoting links to a replicated website that purports to be the ‘best thing since sliced bread’
It’s important to remember that by giving real value you become more valuable to your prospects, people will be interested in what you are doing and will see you as an authority figure in the industry your organisation. It is human nature that people will prefer to do business with those they know and trust. Your prospects are looking for a coach and mentor, you can become that leader if you will allow it to happen and are prepared to educate yourself. The leaders are the one’s who will make it to the top, make definite you are one of them and make certain sure that you are utilising a network marketing system that will recruit and educate your prospects in the most useful way achievable!
